The Minimetrò is a double-track automated funicular that connects the lower to the upper parts of Perugia. There are 7 stops along the 3027m line which surmounts a difference in altitude of 161 m. The cabins run on steel tracks with rubber tires. At stations the cabins release the cable automatically.
